Some people talk about doing something they love. I went and did it.
Precious Metals Anonymous was born in 2023 from a simple obsession — a Dunedin bloke with a passion for bullion, a garage furnace, and an idea that just wouldn't leave him alone.
What started as a running joke among mates — a mock support group for precious metals addicts — quietly became something much more serious.
Not because anyone pushed me toward it, but because I couldn't stop.
Over the past year I've taken that obsession and turned it into a craft.
Late nights, early mornings, and every Friday dedicated to getting better — learning the metal, understanding the process, and pushing myself to produce work I'm genuinely proud of.
Handcrafted jewellery from bullion. Clean minimalist copper bars with a finish that took real time and real effort to get right.
Silver bars on the way, and full refining on the horizon.
This isn't a hobby anymore — this is a calling.
Nobody handed me a workshop or a blueprint.
I built this from a garage in Dunedin, one pour at a time, on nothing but dedication, curiosity, and a deep belief that what I'm creating has real value — not just in the metal, but in the craft itself.
PMA stands for something bigger than just the work on the bench though.
It's about trust, honesty, and building a community of like-minded people who give a damn about this craft.
My goal is to help shape the next generation of precious metals craftsmen and designers right here in New Zealand — to prove that world-class work can come from a workshop at the bottom of the world.
I'm just getting started.
And I've never been more sure of anything in my life.
