How BTNZ Metal Swaps Work
These listings are for metal-for-metal swap deals between BTNZ Silver and Gold members (e.g. silver for gold, gold for silver, bullion for bullion). Follow the steps below so offers are clear, accepted swaps are obvious, and members can connect privately via the BTNZ Community.
Step 1 – Make your swap offer (in comments)
- Click the swap listing and read what the seller is looking for (metal type, weight, brands, condition, location).
- In the listing comments, post your offer clearly. Include:
- What metal you’re offering (e.g. 10oz silver bar, 1/10oz gold coin).
- Exact weight and purity (ozt/grams, .999, 22k, etc.).
- Any top-up if needed (e.g. “+ $80 cash difference” or “+ 2x 1oz rounds”).
- Key details (condition, brand/mint, capsule/COA, and your region for shipping/meet-up).
- Keep offers in the comments only — do not post phone numbers, emails, or addresses in public comments.
Step 2 – Seller accepts & closes the swap
- The seller can reply to offers or ask clarifying questions in the comments.
- When the seller agrees to a swap, they should reply on the winning offer with:
“ACCEPTED — CLOSED”
(or similar wording) so everyone can see the swap is complete. - Once closed, no further offers are needed on that listing.
Step 3 – Connect privately via BTNZ Community (Discourse)
- After your offer is accepted, click the Contact Seller button on the listing.
- This will open a private chat with the seller in the BTNZ Community (Discourse).
- In chat, confirm:
- The listing you’re swapping on (paste the listing link if helpful).
- The exact metals/weights/purity each party is sending.
- Any agreed top-up amounts (cash difference or extra ounces).
- Shipping or meet-up method, address details, and tracking expectations.
- The swap is completed directly between buyer and seller via the agreed method.
BTNZ does not hold funds or guarantee trades. All swaps are completed directly between members — always do your own due diligence before sending metals, money, or goods.
