Browsing listings is open once you’ve created a login and completed verification.
To contact members, participate, and access member features, you’ll need a verified BTNZ account
and an active Silver, Gold, or Platinum membership (each tier has its own access and perks).

What BTNZ is not
BTNZ does not hold stock, handle payments, offer escrow, or guarantee any item or outcome. Trades are private agreements between members.
Your responsibility
Do your own due diligence: ask questions, request proof, verify references, and choose shipping/payment methods that protect you.

Platform role
BTNZ provides pages, listings, and community tools. We are not a buyer, seller, agent, or broker, and we are
not a party to any member-to-member contract.
Use at your own risk
You accept that trading carries risk. BTNZ is not liable for loss, disputes, fraud, non-delivery, damage,
chargebacks, or any outcome of a transaction. If you proceed, you do so by your own decision.
Due diligence
Before paying: verify the item, verify the person, agree terms in writing, and keep records. Use tracked/insured
shipping (especially for higher value items) or safe public meetups where appropriate.
Eligibility, law, enforcement
You must be 18+ and comply with New Zealand law. BTNZ may restrict features, remove listings, suspend, or remove
accounts to protect the community, including for abusive behaviour, repeated non-completion, or suspicious activity.

Rules & Conduct
Keep it clean, honest, and completed.
- Be respectful. No harassment, threats, bullying, hate, or dogpiling.
- Do not post private details publicly (addresses, phone numbers, full names).
- Keep negotiations professional. If you don’t like a price, move on or message privately.
You must be 18+ to buy, sell, or participate in BTNZ trading features.
- Do not list stolen goods, restricted items, or anything that would breach New Zealand law.
- If in doubt, don’t list it.
- Counterfeit, plated-as-solid, or misrepresented items are an instant removal.
- Describe items accurately: purity, weight, condition, and any issues.
- If you’re unsure, do not imply authenticity or purity.
- Items must be in-hand. No “pre-order”, “arriving soon”, or “I can source it”.
- Use clear photos of the actual item(s). Stock photos can be extra, not the main proof.
- Include essentials: price, metal, purity, weight, location, shipping/meetup options, and payment expectations.
- Strongly recommended: a handwritten proof note (your name + date) in at least one photo.
- If you claim an item (BIN / SOLD / “I’ll take it”) you are committing to buy.
- If you bid, you are committing to pay if you win.
- Do not delete commitment messages to “reset” the order of claims.
- Repeated non-completion = loss of access to BTNZ features and/or removal.
Simple rule: Don’t claim it unless you’re ready to complete it.
- Agree payment method and shipping/meetup details before money moves.
- Tracked shipping is strongly recommended. Use insured options for higher value items.
- Sellers: provide tracking or agreed proof of dispatch in a reasonable timeframe.
- Buyers: pay promptly once terms are agreed — no ghosting.
- No private bids. No “DM offers”. Bidding must be public where the auction is hosted.
- State your end time clearly and stick to it.
- Winning bidder completes. Seller ships/hands over as agreed.
- No raffle/razz/gambling-style posts or “pay to enter” schemes.
- No irrelevant advertising. Keep external links minimal and on-topic.
- No harassment marketing, mass-tagging, or repeated reposting.
- Keep receipts: screenshots, timestamps, payment proof, tracking numbers.
- Report issues to admin with evidence via the contact form.
- Public callouts are not the process. Admins can restrict features or remove members to protect the community.
