BTNZ Sign up + Verification
New here? Use the sign-up form and complete verification on this page. Silver access is free and is granted once your verification has been reviewed and approved. Verification helps reduce scams, impersonation, and throwaway profiles. This verification is private and reviewed by BTNZ admin only.
Why we verify
BTNZ verification helps keep the marketplace scam-resistant, trustworthy, and transparent.
What we’re checking (simple)
Name match only. We just want to confirm your BTNZ sign-up name matches the name on a real document.
We do not need your ID number, and we do not need your photo.
What you can upload
- NZ driver licence (you can cover the licence number + photo)
- Utility letter / bank statement / official letter addressed to you (cover account numbers and amounts)
If you’re not comfortable uploading a document, select the other option in the form and we’ll reach out to verify another way.
Optional: extra-verified (higher trust)
If you’d like an extra layer of trust, you can include a document showing your name + address.
This is optional, but helps us verify more strongly.

Submit verification
Complete the verification form below with your name match and contact details.

Admin review
We review submissions and approve accounts as quickly as possible.

Get Silver access + trade
Once approved, you receive free Silver access and can start listing, buying, selling, and trading.
Tip: Use a consistent BTNZ handle in the verification form — this is the handle you’ll use on your listings.
Privacy & security (important)
- Not public: verification details are never shown on listings, pages, or search results.
- Admin-only access: only authorised BTNZ admins can view submissions.
- Purpose-limited: used only to verify members and keep the community safe.
- Cover what you want: you can black out numbers, photos, and extra info — we only need the name (and address only if you choose “extra-verified”).
One-time step: once approved, you can participate normally unless access is removed for rule breaches or account issues.
